Sock Knitting on 4 Double Pointed Needles. Sat 7th Feb

Some details from your tutor Christine from Blind Ram Yarns Learn to knit beautiful socks on 4 double pointed needles.

Participants will be guided through the process of creating a pair of made to measure socks using 4 double pointed knitting needles. A pattern will be provided, and yarn and needles will be available to purchase at a 20% discount. Alternatively, bring your own sock yarn and needles.

Techniques taught will include ribbing for the cuff, knitting in the round to create the leg, creating a heel flap, turning the heel, setting up a gusset, shaping and knitting the gusset, toe shaping and finishing.

Each technique will be carefully demonstrated with examples showing each stage. Participants will start creating their own beautiful pair of socks under Chris’s patient guidance.

Please note: An ability to knit is necessary, but no experience of working with double pointed needles required.

Shorter follow up sessions can be made available to help participants complete their pair of socks.

3 Hours, either 10-1 or 2-5pm. £49 per person. Up to 5 Participants in each session.

Sock Yarn and needles available from me at a 20% discount or bring your own sock yarn. Pattern will be provided.

An ability to knit is necessary, but no experience of working with double pointed needles required.

Learn to create a beautiful sock, knitting from ankle top to toe, shorter follow up sessions can be made available.

If you bring your own yarn, I recommend buying designated sock yarn so it should then be compatible with my pattern using 3.25/3.75mm needles.
