Stone Setting Silver Ring – Bezel Settings, 10th January 10 – 4pm – £95
In this whole day workshop we will learn how to make a silver ring with a gemstone from scratch.
There will be a selection of gemstones to choose from.
Using traditional silversmithing techniques, we will begin by making a ring to measure – you can add your own unique texture to your ring band by using texturing tools such as hammers, stamps or even real leaf prints using the rolling mill.
We will be learning skills such as measuring, sawing, filing, soldering, sanding and forming.
We will break for lunch from 1 – 1:45pm, the wonderful Hermit crab cafe will be open and is a great option for lunch!
In the second half of the day we will be making our bezel settings from scratch for your chosen gemstone.
The final stage after setting the stones, will be to polish our rings.
